We ALWAYS talk about how their commercials just constantly miss the mark for their target audience. I have a buddy that has worked for AAA for about 7 years. I’ve been in marketing and advertising since 2011, and have worked with some big international brands. I'm convinced I know her from somewhere, but can't place a name to the face, and it's been driving me a bit nuts every time I see this stupid ad. The identity of "Mom" is the entire reason I was searching for info about this commercial. Thirdly, does anyone know who the pitch woman, presumably "Mom" in this little drama, is? Although I might think that were cool, apparently the Gen Zer doesn't. Thirdly, I'm assuming the daughter is embarrassed that her father was lead singer in a hair-metal band. Presumably if the packing tape had been of high quality, the "Dad's Stuff" box wouldn't have broken and the daughter wouldn't have seen the photo. Secondly, I'm pretty sure there a line in there that goes something like, "Like packing tape, quality matters." Which is a bizarre comparison to make: insurance and packing tape.

It's just edited so badly to chop off a few seconds that it makes no sense.

That's the only thing that makes any sense. I've read a lot of comments, now here's my take:įirstly, I am convinced this is a shorter version of a longer ad that I have simply never seen.
